Hardship Fund: 19+
The Hardship Fund for Further Education students aged 19 and over with a gross household income of less than £30,000 is part of the Learner Support Fund.
It’s a grant, so you don’t have to pay it back.
It’s to help pay for things like:
- books, uniform
- travel costs
- childcare
- exam fees
- tuition fees (you must pay 50% yourself to be eligible)
You must attend your classes to meet the attendance criteria of the bursary. If your attendance drops below 85% you may lose your grant.
How to apply
Apply as soon as you’ve enrolled on your course. If you wait you may lose out on money.
