Your future starts here
If you are wondering what to do after GCSEs, we can help. Our courses are developed to help you reach your full potential. To do this we combine your qualification with work experience and personal skills and development to make you stand out from the crowd. There’s also a lot of fun with an enhanced student enrichment programme and a students union to keep you busy around your studies.
When you talk to us about your future, we’ll talk careers not courses. We like to begin with the end in mind and train you for specific careers, with practical training and professional qualifications that can take you straight into the workplace or higher study.
Whether you have a specific trade in mind like mechanic or games designer, a broad subject interest like business or IT or an A Level pathway that will get you into medical school, your future really starts here.
What are my options after leaving school?
A Level qualifications are recognised by Universities and employers everywhere, these qualifications can lead to higher education (HE) studies at Bradford College or university, further training, study or employment.
At Bradford College we treat our students as adults, offering you a level of freedom and maturity not often found in school or sixth form settings. However, we will still support you every step of the way, whether you want to progress to degree level studies or find a job, we’ll make sure you’re ready for your next steps.
This nationally-recognised qualification combines 20% practical workplace experience and 80% academic classroom work, and features industry-standard content which can lead you into employment as well as further study.
Studying on a T-Level course means that as well as developing your knowledge within the classroom, you also have the opportunity to complete a valuable industry placement lasting approximately 45 days.
Trade and professional qualifications are more vocational courses that give a hands on approach to practical subjects such as beauty, hairdressing, construction and uniformed services.
The facilities at Bradford College are designed to feel more like the work place, creating a blended learning experience with some classroom study alongside developing practical skills that can be applied in the chosen career.
Our Level 2 and 3 professional qualifications are the best way to gain the skills you need to start your career after college or move onto higher level apprenticeships in your chosen field.
Apprenticeships offer individuals the opportunity to achieve their chosen qualification whilst gaining invaluable work experience and earning a wage.
Apprenticeships at Bradford College offer a range of apprenticeships from Level 2 to Level 6 making them an alternative route to Higher Education.
