Take your future to the next level

Unlock your potential with a T Level qualification designed for individuals aged 16 to 19.

T-levels are ideal if you only have a rough idea of the career or field you’re interested in. The study and industry placement isn’t linked to a specific individual role or job, so you will be given broad exposure to that industry and the many roles on offer.

What sets T Levels apart:

  • equivalent to 3 A-Levels
  • two year full-time programme
  • recognised by universities for entry requirements
  • combines 20% practical experience with 80% academic classroom work

T Levels teach you industry-standard knowledge and skills to prepare you for the world of work. Studying a T Level means that as well as developing your knowledge within the classroom, you also have the opportunity to complete a valuable industry placement lasting approximately 45 days.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most T Level courses require a minimum of 5 GCSEs (graded from 4-9), including English and Maths.

Similar to an apprenticeship, the T Level allows for both industry placement time as well as classroom learning. However, with a T Level you will spend more time in the classroom, split 80% classroom and 20% industry placement, compared with an apprenticeship that requires 80% on-the-job work experience and 20% classroom study.

Studying a 2 year T Level course will provide you with a qualification that is equivalent to 3 A Levels, the courses provide both the knowledge and experience to progress into further study or employment. A T Level Foundation Year course is a 1 year course for students with the potential and interest to study a T Level but require additional time and support to build up core skills in English and Maths, as well as identifying which course is perfect for their career progression.
