Advanced Learner Loan Bursary Fund
The bursary fund for Advanced Learner Loan students aged 19 and over with a household income of less than £25,000 is part of the Learner Support Fund.
It’s a grant, so you don’t have to pay it back.
It’s to help pay for things like:
You must attend your classes to meet the attendance criteria of the bursary. If your attendance drops below 85% you may lose your grant.
Read the guidance below to see if you’re eligible.
How to apply
Apply as soon as you’ve enrolled on your course. If you wait you may lose out on money.
There are two ways to apply:
You will need to register on the Bursary Portal, complete a short application form and upload the supporting documents you are asked to provide. As soon as your application is assessed you will be able to see your award letter and details of your grant on the PayMyStudent portal.
If you don’t have access to a computer (at College, at home, at a friend’s house), you will be able to telephone (01274 088403) or email firstname.lastname@example.org for a telephone appointment. A member of staff will call and complete the application with you. You will still have to provide an electronic copy of your supporting documents.
