Our part-time courses are based at our city centre campus, various venues in the Bradford area and online.

With courses in the morning, afternoon and evening, our classes can fit in with your work and family commitments.  Whether you want to take up a new hobby, study for your own personal development, or improve your skills for a career change or job promotion, we have something for you. 

We offer a wide range of courses on many different subjects, including courses for leisure, accredited community courses, distance learning and part-time Further and Higher education courses.

How to apply and enrol

Learning for leisure/community courses 

If you would like to study one of our learning for leisure courses, please email, or call us on  01274 088088 (option 3). For many leisure courses you can enrol directly, pay your fee and start your course. 

Accredited courses 

To apply for any of our accredited courses in the community section please either apply online at, email, or call  01274 088088 (option 3). 

These courses may require an interview* and we will contact you with an interview date (this may* be over the phone, via video call on MS Teams, or an alternative format). Once you have attended your interview* we will provide you with enrolment details. Enrolment will take place between July and September 2020. 

Distance learning 

If you are interested in applying for one of our distance learning courses please email our distance learning team at  with the course you are interested in. 

English and Maths 

19+ English and Maths 

To apply and enrol for a 19+ English and/or Maths course, please contact  or call  01274 088088 (option 3). We will then arrange a suitable assessment date for you, with enrolment taking place following your assessment appointment.

Higher education/Degrees

Distance learning

Our popular Distance Learning courses allow you to study in the comfort of your own home, for recognised accreditation that is of value to your work and personal development. We also offer online learning courses, to develop your skills in a flexible way that fits around you. 

Other options

If you don’t feel comfortable in a large college environment and need a more supportive approach, take a look at Forster College. We work with learners to address and overcome barriers to engaging with education, training and employment, providing an alternative option for education.

What you need for community/leisure online enrolments: 

It is important that you provide required documentation, evidence (proof of any benefits you are receiving) and payment details at your enrolment alongside residency information (where applicable) and photographic ID. You will be able to upload this documentation and set up payments via direct debit during your online enrolment. Help will be made available throughout the enrolment process via email and telephone. 

Residency information 

UK/EU/EEA Nationals 

  • Passport/ID Card/Driving Licence/NI Card 
  • Full birth certificate 

Non-UK/EU/EEA Nationals 

  • Passport/Visa/Residence Permit 
  • Asylum Registration Card, ASPEN Card and NASS Receipt 
  • Spouse/Family Members passport (if you came into the UK on a spouse/family member visa) 

If you do not have the correct certificates/residency information available to upload during your online enrolment, you will be asked to provide it. If this happens your enrolment record will be updated with a note and you will be asked to re-enter your online enrolment process to complete this stage in order to enrol. You cannot enrol without documentation/evidence or without paying your course fee/setting up a direct debit (if applicable). 


You can pay by debit/credit card online, or set-up a direct debit scheme. Tuition fees will be payable at the time of enrolment (or must be set-up via a payment scheme) unless you qualify for fee remission
