Francesco Angrisani

Previous Experience
Francesco began his career as a General and Financial Manager in the private sector, where he developed expertise in finance, budgeting and interest rates. His passion for teaching led him to Bradford College, where he started as a Maths Specialist and also taught ESOL, employability, citizenship and Italian. He advanced to the role of Curriculum Team Leader in the ESOL provision in Further Education (FE) and is currently serving as a Curriculum Team Leader in the English, Maths, Employability and Digital Skills provision.
Teaching Responsibilities
In his role as a Curriculum Team Leader, Francesco is dedicated to ensuring students’ academic progress and helping them achieve their targets to gain essential employability skills. He oversees curriculum development, monitors student performance and implements strategies to support student success. Francesco is committed to creating a supportive learning environment that transforms students’ lives and helps them reach their future goals.

Francesco is passionate about delivering comprehensive programmes in English, Maths, Employability and Digital Skills. He aims to equip students with the skills needed for success in today’s digital world and in their everyday lives.

Adrian Hutchinson
Assistant Principal, Adult Skills

Previous Experience
Adrian has extensive experience as a Head of Department and Assistant Principal in several colleges. Originally qualifying as an English teacher he has worked in the education sector for the last 23 years across Yorkshire and Lancashire as well as in Luton and London. Joining Bradford College in 2019 he has led the 16-18 English & maths department before taking over the Adult Skills department in November 2022.

All areas of education but with specific interests in leadership & management.

Ummera Iqbal
Curriculum Area Manager – ESOL, Maths, English, Employability & Digital Skills

Previous Experience
With over a decade of experience in further education, Ummera has made a significant impact across various areas of teaching and curriculum management. Beginning her career in Further Education, she taught Functional Skills English, GCSE English and ESOL, inspiring and empowering students to achieve their potential.
Teaching Responsibilities
Ummera successfully led teams across English, maths, employability, digital skills and is currently leading ESOL, showcasing her strong leadership and versatility. In this role, Ummera works closely with employers and stakeholders to support learners with low literacy, language and numeracy skills. She also leads initiatives in intergenerational learning, helping those furthest from education reconnect with learning opportunities.

Ummera is passionate about promoting inclusive education that empowers learners to reach their full potential. She is deeply committed to removing barriers to education and supporting lifelong learning for people of all ages and backgrounds.

Seima Mahmood
Curriculum Team Leader, Adult Skills
Seima Mahmood

Previous Experience
With over 22 years of dedicated experience as an ESOL Lecturer, Seima has made significant strides in the field of education. Her journey has seen her evolve into a multifaceted professional, taking on roles such as Learning Teaching Assessment Champion and Digital Champion, all while continuing her passion for teaching ESOL. In addition to her primary roles, Seima also serves as an examiner for Trinity ESOL Skills for Life and Community Interpreting, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the assessment process. Currently, she is making a profound impact as a Curriculum Team Leader in Community Learning, where individuals in the community are given opportunities to enhance their English, maths, and digital skills, along with a variety of other community learning courses. Her commitment to education and community development is truly inspiring.
Teaching Responsibilities
In her role as a Curriculum Team Leader in Community Learning, Seima is responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of a wide range of educational programmes aimed at improving English, maths, digital skills and community learning courses within the community. Her role is to ensure that provision is designed to boost students’ confidence, transform lives, and help community members progress and gain employability skills to reach their personal and professional targets. Seima is also passionate about delivering Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and digital skills training to enhance teaching and learning practices. Her dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment is evident in every aspect of her work.

Seima has a professional interest in researching and learning about new digital technology and AI. She also has a keen preference in designing academic curricula and assessments to ensure comprehensive and effective learning outcomes.

Sara Odor
Curriculum Area Manager – Community Learning Development
Sara Odor

Previous Experience
Sarah has many years’ experience working in Bradford and Greater Manchester in both Adult Learning and FE particularly managing and developing learning to support parents and unemployed adults improve their employability and skills. With a Master’s in Education from University of Huddersfield Sarah is passionate to empower learners to access transformative learning opportunities.
Teaching Responsibilities
Sarah leads community learning development working with colleagues, partners and community groups across the district to engage residents furthest from education, increase opportunity and enable progression into mainstream college provision through delivering learning based in community settings.

All aspects of Community Learning particularly family learning and supporting schools to engage parents in both their own and their child’s learning.
