Visual Arts MA students create online gallery

A Bradford art gallery has displayed an exhibition of artwork by Masters in Visual Arts students online.

The thought-provoking and unique works by students at Bradford School of Art were due to be shown by South Square Gallery this month but now the selection can be viewed in a virtual art gallery.

South Square Centre in Thornton Road has a long-term commitment to supporting students and graduates from the college. The partnership dates back to the early 1980s when students joined together to renovate the cottages into a community arts centre and gallery.

The gallery includes art by Paula Storr, Charlene Glover, Dionne Hood, Saira Baig, Shannon O’Reily, Lauren Westerman, Rachel Hoodless, Farhana Khan and Emma Render.

This is just one of the exciting projects currently taking place in conjunction with art galleries in the region, even while the Covd-19 restrictions are in place. Saltaire Inspired recently invited Bradford School of Arts students to send details about the artwork they have created at home for another online gallery due to be launched later this year.
