Bradford College Celebrates Cross College Star Awards 2025

Excellence took centre stage last night as Bradford College proudly hosted its Cross College Star Awards 2025 at the prestigious Cedar Court Hotel, Bradford. Sponsored by CBRE and Cedar Court Hotel, Bradford, the event was a powerful celebration of student achievement, success, and resilience.

From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere was filled with excitement and pride. Attendees were treated to a sparkling drinks reception, followed by a two-course dinner served in the hotel’s elegant ballroom – setting the perfect tone for an evening of celebration.

Students, staff, families, local employers and partners came together to honour those who have gone above and beyond, demonstrating not only academic brilliance but also personal growth, leadership, and dedication to their communities. From inspiring journeys of resilience to outstanding contributions across courses and departments, each award winner was met with heartfelt applause.

Alina Khan, Vice Principal, EDI & Student Experience was the Master of Ceremonies for the night when asked about the night had this to say “The Student Star Awards are always the highlight of the year for me and this year was no exception. We celebrated some truly exceptional talent: learners who have not only inspired their peers, but also their tutors and employer mentors.

It’s a genuine privilege to share such special moments with our learners and their families. Events like this remind us just how powerful Further Education can be in transforming individual lives and uplifting entire communities.

Many of our awards are proudly sponsored by employer partners who, like us, recognise and value the contributions of their future workforce.
It was a great honour to present the awards again this year, and I couldn’t be prouder of every single nominee and winner”

Chris Leahy, Business Unit Leader at CBRE and Dr Sarah Cooper, Director of Peoples Services presented the 10 awards to our very worthy winners who were:

As the awards were announced, guests raised their glasses in celebration of the stories that moved hearts and inspired minds. The event was a powerful reminder of the college’s mission: to empower every learner to reach their full potential.

Laughter, emotion, and pride echoed through the room as the evening came to a close but the impact of the night will last far beyond the applause. Because at Bradford College, every star recognised isn’t just shining – they’re lighting the way forward.
