Our Progression to Learning and Work programmes are ideal if you are either: 16-18 years old with learning difficulties, or have no formal qualifications, or limited GCSE grades.

Our study programmes cover a huge range of options at Entry 3 and Level 1 and have been designed to help you develop your skills in a number of different areas to support you in growing your skills, knowledge and independence to take part in life, learning and work activities.

At Bradford College, we offer a full programme of care with the goal of helping our students to progress onto the next level, whether that is further study or employment. We will help you to build the foundations needed to take the right steps forwards for you.

We provide a wide range of vocational courses, ensuring that you develop the essential skills towards working your way up to the next level and successfully gaining employment. Through these courses you’ll also be able to develop your English and Maths skills, as well as building your confidence and developing new skills.

Supported Internships

Here at Bradford College, we are proud to partner with DFN Project SEARCH offering internship programmes to young people living with a learning disability and/or autism, aged between 18 and 24. The programme follows the school year and runs from September to July, offering meaningful work experience.

Our internship programmes are designed to provide competitive and transferable skills preparing young adults with learning disabilities for full-time paid work.

Skills for Independence

A course for students with SEND & EHCPs aged 16-24 who are working towards Entry 1 and Entry 2 in numeracy, communication and life skills.

Students take part in a fully supported, practical and engaging study programme that aims to prepare young people with learning disabilities for adulthood.

You will practice numeracy and communication skills through project and classroom work. You will develop your personal, social and life skills through an exciting enrichment programme that includes: cooking, sports, forest schools horticulture, arts and performing arts.

Your tutors will support you to build your confidence and skills. They will help you to work towards your Preparing for Adulthood targets, make good progress and be more independent within your community.

Skills for Employment

A course for students with SEND & EHCPs aged 16-24 who are working towards Entry 3 in numeracy, communication, employability and life skills.

You will develop your communication, numeracy, personal and social skills through classroom based and practical projects.

You will develop employability skills such as team working, by volunteering in the community.

Your tutors will support you so that you can progress into vocational programmes or supported internships, and to be more For more information independent within your community.

Vocational Study

Our Progression to Learning and Work programmes are ideal if you are 16-18 years old with no formal qualifications, limited GCSE grades or a learning difficulty.

Our study programmes cover a huge range of options at Entry 3 and Level 1.

They have been designed to help you develop your skills in a number of different areas to support you in growing your skills, knowledge and independence to take part in life, learning and work activities.

Alternative Provision

Our Alternative Provision includes courses that are designed for people aged 16-25 who are not in education, training or work.

Our courses are accessible to students with barriers to learning and no prior qualifications. You will learn a variety of new skills and build your confidence within a specialist environment at Culture Fusion. You will be able to participate in taster sessions for your chosen career, improve your maths and English and develop your personal and social skills.

Alternative Provision will enable you to progress into further learning and/or work.

Whatever your circumstances in education and life, with courses ranging from Entry Level through to Level 3; Bradford College Alternative Provision can support you to get back on track with learning and employment.

Our Facilities

Bradford College offers a comprehensive range of Progression to Learning and Work(PLW) facilities designed to support students in both their academic and personal development. The college’s PLW services focus on fostering a positive learning environment and providing tailored support to help students succeed throughout their studies. The PLW facilities include access to personalised academic support, including tutoring, study skills workshops, and one-on-one guidance for those who may need extra help with their coursework
