  Overview

This two-year programme allows you to develop skills that will allow you to enter employment in key digital roles. It’s ideal if you enjoy using computers and have a career aspiration that might involve cyber security, networking and hardware.

You will develop your understanding in digital technologies, digital environments, internet security, as well as testing software, hardware and data.

You will understand how this course related to roles in digital environments and the careers that are in this field.

 

5 GCSEs including maths and English Language at grade 5.

The 45 day industry placement allows you to develop your occupational specialism skills as well as those necessary to working in any environment, such as effective planning, working with others, health and safety and promoting equality and diversity.

Successful completion of this course can lead to employment, apprenticeships or higher education. Careers include:

  • Digital support technician
  • Digital applications technician
  • Digital service technician
  • Infrastructure technician
  • IT solutions technician

If you are 16 to 18 years old you won’t have to pay tuition fees. If you’re 19 or older you may need to pay a fee.
