Overview
If you want a career in IT, IT solutions or data analysis, this course is ideal.
You will develop all the skills of a data technician in this industry and a nine-week work placement is an essential part of this course.

- Legal and regulatory obligations
- Privacy and confidentiality
- Testing software, hardware and data
- Using data in software design
- Using digital to analyse and solve problems
5 GCSEs including maths and English Language at grade 5.
The 45 day industry placement allows you to develop your occupational specialism skills as well as those necessary to working in any environment, such as effective planning, working with others, health and safety and promoting equality and diversity.
Successful completion of this course can lead to employment, apprenticeships or higher education. Careers include:
- Data analyst
- Data statistician
- Market research data analyst
If you are 16 to 18 years old you won’t have to pay tuition fees.
