Apprenticeships give you the opportunity to learn and train in your chosen career as well as earning a regular pay packet. You will be given first-hand experience and learn the majority of the skills needed on the job, whilst also completing off-the-job training.
Pharmacy apprentices work in a hospital or community pharmacy undertaking a variety of tasks under the supervision of a qualified pharmacist. Duties vary depending on the setting, but may include selling over-the-counter medicines, dispensing prescriptions, ordering pharmaceutical stock and providing medical information to patients.

A Pharmacy Technician is responsible for carrying out both routine and specialist services, including highly complex activities requiring them to use their professional judgement. They are expected to work both individually and as part of a multidisciplinary team. They are able to work with minimum supervision, with a high degree of autonomy, taking responsibility for the quality and accuracy of the work that they have undertaken and that of others.
Entry to this course requires four GCSEs at grade A*-C/ 9-4, three of which must include English language, Mathematics and one Science subject, Biology or Chemistry (please contact us if it is a Physics qualification).
