Help us shape the future at Sustainable Transport Open Day

Bradford College’s Sustainable Transport Open Day is inviting employers to help shape the green workforce of the future.

On Monday 14 June, employers can hear from Bradford Council and interact with leading industry experts on the future of sustainable transport in Bradford and learn how the college’s Future Technology Centre can help their businesses grow.

The Open Day is the first of our annual events to promote the Future Technologies Centre (FTC)’s Sustainable Transport Hub. The FTC is a new and developing education, research and skills training framework designed to support the growth of technology and low carbon skills within West Yorkshire.

By joining us at this event, you will have the chance to:

  • Gain an an overview of the work of the Future Technology Centre, how its work links to the national sustainable transport agenda and its achievements within the first year.
  • View plans for the proposed New Technology Centre, plans for the building and interior design
  • Meet some of our apprentices and students and find out more about their career plans and the skills they are developing through the FTC
  • Find out more about Bradford Council’s Green Agenda and plans for Sustainable Transport 
  • Get an overview of the national picture related to sustainable transport and current opportunities 
  • Hear from major employers about the value of apprenticeships and the benefits they bring to business
  • Discuss new opportunities for employers in a post-Covid world 

The event takes place on Monday 14 June 2021 from 1.30pm until 4pm. It will be held In the Advanced Technologies Centre at Bradford College on Great Horton Road, Bradford, BD7 1AY.
