The Beauty Therapy VTCT Level 3 Diploma is ideal for anyone wanting a career as a Beauty Therapist. The qualification is based on the beauty therapy National Occupational Standards (NOS) and includes all the elements required for you to work effectively as a Beauty Therapist.

This course will advance on your skills in the Beauty Therapy sector. Topics covered include a range of massage therapies and treatments as well as Client Care and Consultation.
Mandatory study units include:
- Health and Safety in the Salon
- Client Care and Consultation
- Body Analysis
- Skin Analysis
- Swedish Massage Therapy
- Body Electrical Treatment
- Facial Electrical Treatment
- Electrical Science
- Mechanical Massage
- Anatomy and Physiology for the Face and Body Systems
You will be required to attend some twilight and evening sessions.
Entry to this course requires a a Level 2 qualification in Beauty Therapy and GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above.
English and/or Maths will be included in your timetable if you have not achieved a GCSE at grade 4 or above in these subjects when you start your course.
You will need to:
- Purchase and wear a uniform
- You may also have to provide some of your own models
- There may be additional costs for enrichment activities, such as attending trade fairs, conferences etc.
All the necessary uniform can be purchased from the Hair & Beauty Department during July, August and September.
You will be assessed by:
- Practical Observation
- Portfolio Building
- Assignment Writing
- Written Tests
Successful completion of this course can lead to progression to further study or employment in the Beauty Therapy industry. On successful completion of the course, you will be eligible to become a member of the British Association of beauty Therapy and Cosmetology (BABTAC) or Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT).
