This qualification provides a full-time introduction to Performing Arts that develops an understanding of Performing Arts as a collaborative activity. The Level 2 Diploma course will provide you with the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to progress to further study and training for a range of performing arts subjects, including acting, singing, dancing, musical theatre, directing and others.
You will have the opportunity to research the history and context of performance and production and its value in informing practice. Over the course you will be introduced to a range of activities essential to the development and delivery of a performance such as drama, dance and music, as well as the process of rehearsal, production and delivery. There is an opportunity to take greater responsibility in the management of an assignment of personal interest, via the final major project, and prepare for progression within a chosen discipline. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in the production of a staged piece of performance to an audience.

A Successful Audition 4 GCSEs including Maths Grade 2 and English Grade 3
Work experience and enrichment opportunities are embedded into the timetable to ensure that the course is both diverse and CV enhancing to prepare learners with industry-based experience work in the creative industries. Successful completion of the course at Diploma level means that you will be in a position to progress to a Level 3 Diploma course and further study or you may progress directly into employment roles in the creative industries.
