This course is perfect for anyone passionate about creating, performing, and producing music. You’ll gain a solid foundation in practical skills while exploring the creative and technical aspects of the music industry.
As part of Bradford College’s Producing Academy, you’ll work in professional studios, collaborate with other creatives, and perform in live settings.
Discover the essentials of music-making through hands-on projects. Learn how to compose and arrange music, develop listening and rehearsal techniques, and deliver confident performances. Explore the basics of music production using industry-standard software and equipment, while researching the history and context of music to inspire your work. Each project helps you build technical ability and creative confidence, preparing you for progression into higher-level study or entry-level roles in the music industry.
4 GCSEs including Maths Grade 2 and English Grade 3. You will be invited to attend an informal music audition. We recommend selecting a piece that you feel confident performing, and that reflects your current level of musical ability
You will complete a number of projects and receive verbal and written feedback on these. This will prepare you for final major project.
There will be opportunities to work on live briefs with real life clients. Students will be encouraged and supported to make industry links.
On completion, you can progress to the Level 3 Diploma in Music, Performance and Production or explore other creative qualifications. This course is your first step towards a career in music performance, production, or related roles.
