This course builds a strong foundation in core subjects like biology, chemistry, and physics, alongside practical investigative skills and laboratory science. With a focus on both classroom learning and work-related experiences, you’ll gain the knowledge and confidence to progress onto the full T Level Science course.
Successful students will earn a BTEC Level 1/Level 2 First Award in Principles of Applied Science, setting you up for further education or a career in the field.

Core Subjects:
- GCSE Maths: Learn key Maths skills for lab work, like calculating medication dosages.
- GCSE English: Develop communication skills for working with patients, colleagues, and lab professionals.
- Digital Skills: Gain basic digital skills for using lab equipment and medical records.
Specialist Pathway Subjects:
