This course will develop your understanding of the teaching and learning environment in a school setting. Who is it suitable for?This Level 1 qualification is ideal if you are thinking of working in a school setting. This could include working with young people, adult learners, learners with additional educational needs or where English is an additional language.What are the entry requirements?This qualification is suitable for adult learners – 19+. Do you need to be working to take this qualification?You are not required to be working in a school setting or to undertake practical placements as part of this course as this is a knowledge based course . – however, we will support you in finding work experience as this will enhance your CV and improve your future job prospects.
Course content includes the well-being of a child or young person and child and young person development.
To achieve the Award, the learner must complete 3 mandatory units. This qualification will be internally assessed using a range of methods, which could include written assignments or tasks such as designing a leaflet or booklet, charts or diagrams, or setting up an information board.
