  Overview

Our City & Guilds level 1 course gives you an introduction to the health and safety, the construction trades and the skills required to secure a job in the electrical industry. Much like plumbing, you can choose to work for yourself, installing lighting and socket circuits in homes and commercial buildings, installing electric vehicle charging points and carrying out testing and commissioning procedures on new and existing installations. You will also take advantage of learning about green skills and sustainability with a big focus on smart technology, energy efficiency and the environment, there’s never been a better time to train as a modern electrician.

  Key Info

We will show you how to install different types of wiring systems and connect them to a range of different equipment and appliances. You will also learn about the modern alternatives – such as Smart technology, electric vehicle charging, solar pv, wind/hydro technologies and the generation of electricity so that your skills are cutting edge and future proofed. The industry is changing so quickly, new technology is emerging, so we work with employers across Bradford to make sure what we are teaching you is fully up to date and has real value to companies when you go to work for them.
