Overview

The Adult Construction Skills course is designed for adults aged 19+ who are currently unemployed and want to gain practical experience and core skills to start a career in the construction industry.

This course provides an introduction to several key construction trades and helps learners build confidence, teamwork, and site awareness. You’ll develop essential Health & Safety knowledge, gain hands-on experience across a range of disciplines, and learn the basic tools, materials, and techniques used by professional tradespeople.

The course also supports employability by introducing construction career pathways, helping learners prepare for work or progression to further vocational training.
