This 12-month part-time course will give you the knowledge and skills needed to work, whilst supervised, with children and young people from birth up to 19-years old.
This course covers information needed across a wide range of jobs that involve working in children’s settings including early years and social care.
To complete this course
You will need to be working, volunteering or on a practical placement to show that you understand and can demonstrate what you have learned.

12 months – study is part-time (one day per week in college)

Your knowledge will be assessed by your tutor in college, and skills will be will be assessed in your place of work.
GCSE English and mathematics at Grade D/3/L1 or higher.
If you do not have these grades, English and/or Maths will not be included in your timetable, but should be enrolled on additionally alongside your course.To complete this course you will need to be working, volunteering or on a practical placement to show that you understand and can demonstrate what you have learned.
