The Chefs’ Forum

As part of our impressive catering offer, Bradford College is set to work with The Chefs’ Forum for a series of show-stopping masterclasses throughout the 2023/24 academic year.

What is the Chefs’ Forum?

Bridging the gap between education and industry

The Chefs’ Forum sees some of the UK’s finest chefs work with colleges to inspire and nurture the next generation of budding chefs. At the heart of the Forum lie the aims to mentor, share ideas, motivate and inspire the talent of tomorrow.

As well as the cooking itself, the Chefs’ Forum is the leading food service marketing platform and networking group where all chef requirements are met. The individuals who make up the Forum are chefs with a wealth of professional expertise, which has been recognised with prestigious ‘foodie’ accolades such as Michelin Stars, AA Rosettes and Good Food Guide cooking scores.

Lloyd Hesom

Fish Masterclass, Wednesday 15th November 2023

Experienced chef and director of ‘United Chefs Limited’, Lloyd Hesom, is set to join us to talk and teach all things fish.

Lloyd holds a vast catalogue of experience, which has seen him be Head Chef at various different hotels across the country, as well as time as Head Chef at the Hotel Emperador in Madrid, Spain.

Hesom first discovered his love and skills for cooking when growing up in a pub, with his mum as landlady and grandad as a butcher. As well as his passion for food, Chef Hesom loves the people he gets to meet in the industry and how it pushes chefs on a daily basis.

Jack Holden

Lamb Butchery Masterclass, Wednesday 13th December 2023

After a previous successful visit to the College in 2022, Jack Holden will return to David Hockney Building at the end of the year for a masterclass in lamb butchery.

Based out of Harrogate’s Fodder Farmshop, Holden is a highly skilled butcher who prides himself on presentation and customer service.

Having once been a catering-based student himself at Leeds City College, Jack will undoubtedly be able to pass on plenty of valuable knowledge from his own experiences to our students.

‘Chef Ru’

Vegetarian Dish Masterclass, Wednesday 21st February 2024

A Bradfordian herself, Radha Ru will come to the College to share her wisdom and secrets in vegetarian cuisine.

Despite being a graduate of law, it’s food that makes ‘Chef Ru’ tick and this love saw her rise to fame on the BBC’s Masterchef back in 2022.

Radha’s extensive abilities saw her reach the final of the well-known TV series, amassing quite the social media following along the way.

With now over 22,000 Instagram followers and a nationwide reputation, it’s set to be an exciting day when this local, success story visits Bradford College.

Exose Grant

Pasta Shapes & Pasta Masterclass, Wednesday 13th March 2024

Visit Exose’s website.

The visit of Chef Ru will be followed by an appearance from another illustrious former Masterchef (The Professionals) finalist, Exose Grant.

Growing up, Exose was surrounded by his mother’s beautiful African cuisine and also enjoyed baking, discovering his love for cooking at high school. With a wealth of experience now under his belt, including a stint at Manchester’s James Martin restaurant, Chef Grant is capable of putting his own twist on many different cuisines from across the globe.

Exose will visit our campus to teach students all about the art of pasta and its many shapes.

It comes as no surprise that Exose is making a name for himself. He is an extremely talented and creative chef who is hardworking and always ready to learn.
