You will be able to hone your hand skills in the workshop by measuring and marking out, terminating a range of wiring systems to equipment and installing different wiring enclosures. This will include the basic understanding and techniques for circuit testing, including continuity, polarity and insulation resistance.
You will show what you’ve learned through simple written tasks, and your practical skills will be demonstrated through hands‑on activities in your workbook that link to real construction situations.

Other Costs: Other Costs: When working in the Electrical workshops, you will need to wear safety boots with steel toe caps and a high‑visibility vest. Please make sure you have access to this equipment before starting the course, as it is essential for taking part in practical sessions safely.You may also be able to receive support through the 16–19 Bursary. This can help with the cost of kit, course‑related equipment and resources, including IT devices, connectivity and textbooks or study materials.
