Overview

Take your music skills to the next level with our UAL Level 3 Diploma and Extended Diploma in Music, Performance and Production. This course is designed for aspiring musicians, producers, and performers who want to develop advanced technical and creative skills. You’ll work on professional-standard projects, perform at live events, and produce original music for a range of contexts.  

As part of the Producing Academy, you’ll collaborate with other creatives, gain industry insights, and build a portfolio that showcases your talent.

Immerse yourself in the world of music through practical, project-based learning. Develop advanced skills in performance, songwriting, and music production using industry-standard software and equipment. Work on briefs that challenge you to compose for film, TV, or games, produce professional-quality recordings, and manage live events. Alongside creative work, you’ll explore the business side of music, including promotion, marketing, and distribution. By the end of the course, you’ll have a portfolio of performances and productions ready for higher education or industry roles.

4 GCSEs including English Grade 4 Maths Grade 3. You will be invited to attend an informal music audition. We recommend selecting a piece that you feel confident performing, and that reflects your current level of musical ability.

You will be assessed through ongoing course work of each project and then for each final project, you will be graded on the overall process of this project.

There will be opportunities to work on live briefs with real life clients. Students will be encouraged and supported to make industry links.

Move on to degree-level study in Music Performance, Production, or Sound Engineering, or start a career in song writing, event management, or live sound. Your portfolio and industry experience will prepare you for success in the music business.
