Overview

Take your first steps towards and employment with our Preparing for Work Programme. This course is a work-based learning programme which will provide you with work experience in various community-based settings including health and social care, environmental conservation, social care, the arts and other initiatives. You will develop transferable, industry related skills in a range of areas to enhance your CV and real-life employability skills.  The programme is designed to give you a broad range of skills and experiences, supporting your next steps to find paid work.

The course is based on a Programme of Study, which
consists of a City & Guilds Employability Award, maths and English, a
tutorial programme, enrichment and experience of work. Learners will study core
Employability skills over the duration of the course.

There are no entry requirements for this course apart from an interest in the subject and the ability to commit to positive behaviours and attendance.  You will need to have the ability to work towards an entry level 3 qualification.

You will be assessed through coursework.

This course is a work-based learning programme which will

FE Tuition: £2,172.00 per academic year

Exam Registration: £226.80
