Cath Orange

Chair of the Corporation

Cath’s working career in the education sector spans 30 years, holding various academic roles, from lecturer to researcher, academic quality assurance and registrar to pro-vice chancellor.

Becoming a parent governor at her children’s school inspired Cath, with the positive impact and transformational role of being a governor. She has built a respectable second career in governance and leadership in a number of institutions that include Leeds Metropolitan University (now Leeds Beckett), Wakefield College, and UCAS to name a few.

In her previous governance roles, Cath has received positive comments from OFSTED citing particularly strong leadership and governance.

Cath seeks out personal fulfilment through challenging roles, and leading others to deliver excellence.

Cath was appointed to the Bradford College Corporation in January 2015, and became Chair of the Corporation in December 2017.

It’s a privilege to be able to serve the community of Bradford. I am extremely proud of the staff and students who exemplify all that is good about community and personal endeavour.

In addition to being Chair of Governors at Bradford College, Cath is also Vice Chair of Brignatia Trust, and Chair of the Local Academy Board at Longley Park Sixth Form College (both in Sheffield).
