Helping local people find new opportunities

Throughout Covid19 many local heroes supported their community by providing essential roles to Bradford Council, working as Covid Support Workers completing many key tasks such as:

  • Raising awareness of Covid19
  • Advice on how to stay safe
  • Managing pop up Covid19 testing sites
  • Managing Covid19 vaccination sites
  • Dispelling myths about vaccinations

This is a group of dedicated workers who are ready for the next steps in their careers.

They have developed and evidenced many key skills that are valuable in the work place:

  • Keen organizational skills

Bradford College are supporting approximately 200 people in reaching the next steps in their careers, building on the skills developed through these Covid Support roles to help them progress further in education or the workplace.
