Electrical Students Tour City Centre Transformation Work
6 daysA group of our new Level 2 Electrical Installation students had a special guided tour of the transformation work which is taking place in Bradford city centre as part of their studies.
Music fans will have the chance to see some of Bradford’s rising stars in concert this month.
Musicians studying for Bradford School of Art’s BA Music for the Creative Industries degree will put on the HE Live Music Showcase on Friday 30 April at 7pm.
The artists will perform songs by a diverse range of artists including Chic, Toto, Amy Winehouse and Plan B.
The show will be pre-recorded and streamed through Bradford College’s YouTube channels so audiences will be able to view it online.
John Dey, Lecturer in Music and Audio Technology, said: “We know that lots of people have missed live music, so hopefully this will be an event that you will be able to enjoy at home!”
The show is expected to last around 35 minutes and will be suitable for all ages. John said: “This would normally be performed live to a physical audience. However, lockdown has meant that we have had to be creative and move it to an online event.”

Bradford School of Art at Bradford College has a long history of nurturing outstanding musical talent. It supports budding musicians to exciting careers in the industry as well as unique opportunities to showcase their work.
The Level 6 Music for the Creative Industries BA (Hons) Top-up is designed to allow students to progress from a prior approved qualification to an Honours level degree.
Tutorial sessions are worked into the scheme of work for each unit to ensure that learners are offered one-to-one support. They are be supported through regular assessment workshops.
