Future students shine bright on Bradford College Taster Day
On Friday 21 June, Bradford College hosted a Year 10 taster day for over 700 students from local secondary schools to explore all three of its campus buildings. The event was designed to give students a taste of college life and the different courses and facilities available to them.
The day started with a new welcome video across all campuses, where students were given an overview of the College and the different departments and courses on offer. They were then allowed to choose two subjects that that were most interested in, across all three campus buildings – David Hockney, Lister Building and Trinity Green campus.
Students from Bronte Academy, Beckfoot Thornton, Carlton Bolling, Guiseley School, Lightcliffe, Buttershaw Business and Enterprise College, Appleton Academy and Holy Family Catholic School attended.
Prospective students had an opportunity to explore the facilities across 20 subject areas and speak to current students and staff about the courses available. They also took part in interactive workshops and activities related to different subjects, such as science, art, and engineering.
Overall, the taster day was a great success, with students leaving feeling inspired and excited about their future education and career paths.
One student said, “I had a great time exploring the different campuses and learning about the courses available. I can’t wait to come back to Bradford College in the future.”
Bradford College is committed to providing students with a high-quality education and a supportive learning environment.
Events like the Year 10 taster day help to showcase the College’s offerings and encourage young people to consider further education as a viable option for their future.
