College team gears up for the Super Soapbox Challenge race!

Soapbox racing is coming to Bradford this Sunday (1st May) for the first time ever, with crowds of anything up to 20,000 expected in the city. The exciting event will see carts run downhill through the city centre, all while raising much-needed funds for local charities and worthy causes.

As organisations can enter corporate teams to create and race their own carts, students and staff from the welding department have been busy building an entry worthy of first place while gaining valuable hands-on skills.

The event is staged by The Super Soapbox Challenge Company, which has had success with similar events elsewhere. Bradford Business Improvement District (BID) is the principal sponsor of the Super Soapbox Challenge and is keen to draw more people back into the city to support local businesses.

Best of luck to everyone involved!
