The COVID-19 pandemic has meant that the College has had to look at the safest possible way for our graduates to celebrate their successes this year.
Due to government restrictions surrounding large-scale events, this year’s graduation ceremonies at St. George’s Hall have been postponed.
As a Bradford College degree student who has completed the final year of your studies, you may be eligible to attend the college’s virtual graduation ceremony planned to take place on Wednesday 2nd December 2020.
Graduating on the abovementioned date is subject to you successfully completing and passing your course, settling any outstanding fees* and by agreeing to any other terms and conditions that may be in place as part of your studies at the College (e.g. disciplinary or behaviour contracts, exam board outcomes or chairs action).

As you may be aware, the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in heavy government restrictions on public events. Because of this, universities this year have been unable to hold physical graduation ceremonies. Due to the ongoing government restrictions, Bradford College is unable to hold a physical ceremony this year.
In its place we will be holding a virtual graduation ceremony which will be streamed live on Wednesday 2nd December 2020 which you will be able to watch with your family and celebrate from home.
Should physical events resume in 2021, we would like to invite you to a physical graduation ceremony in the winter of 2021.
We are planning an exciting programme for your virtual graduation ceremony along with some surprises.
We would also like you to take part – if you would like to be part of a video montage for your cohort, please send photographs (of yourself or of you and your classmates providing you have their permission) to email@example.com by Wednesday 18th November 2020. Please send them as picture files, and mention the program you are graduating from in the email.
Would you like your photo included in the roll call? Please email a clear headshot as a picture file with your name and programme in the file name to firstname.lastname@example.org by Wednesday 18th November 2020.
We will be sending you regular email updates and as the date of graduation draws nearer, we will send you the link to join your virtual graduation ceremony. Your invitation to the virtual graduation ceremony is dependent on you meeting all eligibility criteria.
You do not need to register for the virtual graduation event. Only those who are eligible to graduate will be sent the link to join in November 2020. You may share this link with your family and loved ones.
Our academic gown provider William Northam is providing a Ship to Home service during the pandemic for all graduates whose ceremonies have been postponed. Please contact William Northam via their website if you would like to hire a gown to celebrate with your family at home.
Due to the recent reinstatement of lockdown measures, a photography service cannot be offered at this moment in time. Should restrictions ease we may examine holding a photography session in the future. Graduates this year also have an open invitation to next year’s ceremonies should the pandemic end.
Please make sure that your contact details including your postal address are up-to-date on your Student Portal. We will need the correct details in order to send you your graduation brochure and your certificate.

*The deadline for payment of outstanding tuition fees is Saturday 31st October 2020. Any outstanding fees MUST be settled in full in order to graduate and be invited to this virtual graduation.
