Turning Teaching Assistants into Teachers
Are you a teaching assistant or looking to move into teaching and education? Join our online event and find out how we could help you.
Bradford College values the contribution of Teaching Assistants and believes that their experience in the classroom makes them great candidates for progressing on to teaching. We have developed a range of work based learning routes to enable TAs to make progress in their careers, either into higher level support roles or into teaching.
We have ex-students that began their careers as TAs who are now working in schools across the world or in senior positions in schools in Bradford. previous students have progressed to become SENDCO, subject coordinators, assistant head teachers or even a headteacher. Others have decided not to move into teaching but progressed their career by becoming HLTAs, learning mentors, cover supervisors, parental outreach officers or safeguarding leads.
Bradford College has one of the widest ranges of routes into teaching in the country. We can offer courses to enable you to teach in early years, primary, secondary, FE, adult education or special school settings. We offer undergraduate and postgraduate training routes with a range of top up degrees available to those who have already undertaken some degree level education.
Maybe you do not yet have a level 3 qualification to enable you to access higher education; we can offer level 3 TA courses, online Access to HE courses and apprenticeships.
If you are unable to attend these dates, would like to talk someone privately, or have an urgent enquiry then send a message requesting a one to one meeting to discuss your career development.
This event will last approximately 1 hour to 1 hour 30 mins.
