The Level 3 T Level Qualification in Design, Surveying & Planning for Construction will provide students with the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to progress into skilled employment, an apprenticeship or related technical study through further or higher education.

Including modules in Construction methods, Building Regulations and Standards and Digital Engineering Techniques, this T Level also provides the opportunity to complete 350 hours of relevant work experience which can give you a careers edge and fast track you into the area of work that you are interested in. You will develop a rounded knowledge and relevant set of skills that are favoured amongst employers in this sector.

You’ll also learn about the commercial side of construction, such as stakeholder management, business structures and entrepreneurship. The construction industry is constantly evolving and so you’ll also dive into the world of digital technology, innovation and sustainability, to understand how the industry will be shaped in the future.

Specialism: Surveying and Design for Construction and the Built Environment

Entry to this course requires grades 5 or above in GCSE English Language, Maths and Science.

Assessment includes examination papers and employer set projects. This qualification is 100% externally assessed, this means all the assessments are set and marked by Pearson.

Our T Level includes an industry placement with an employer focused on developing the practical and technical skills required for the occupation. These will last a minimum of 315 hours (approximately 45 days) but can last longer.

Successful completion of this course can lead to progression into employment, further study or higher level study which can include University. Potential careers include:

If you are 16 to 18 years old you won’t have to pay tuition fees. If you’re 19 or older you may need to pay a fee.
