Overview
The VTCT Level 4 Certificate in Laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Treatments is an advanced qualification that has been specifically designed for beauty therapists. This adult (19+) course is part-time and attendance is in the evenings.
Key Info
This qualification requires you to develop skills to carry out IPL and laser treatments. Attendance for this course is 8 hours per week, for 10 weeks.
The units of study are:
- Client Care and Communication in Beauty-related Industries
- Laser and Light Treatments for Hair Removal
- Laser and Light Treatments for Skin Rejuvenation
- Management of Health, Safety and Security in the Salon
Entry to this course a Level 3 qualification in Anatomy/Physiology or a Level 3 qualification in Beauty Therapy. As well as this, you should hold a Level 2 in Infection prevention (Covid -19).
You will be assessed through observation and written assignments.
Successful completion of this course means that you will be in a position to aspire to promotion as an advanced beauty therapist providing laser and IPL services within a beauty salon. You may also choose to progress to further study.
