  Overview

This course provides an overview of the knowledge required to begin to volunteer in a school setting. It helps learners understand how schools function as an organisation, introducing them to job roles, different kinds of schools and what would be expected around aims and policies.

  Key Info

This course will introduce the basics of the knowledge essential to being part of a school, safeguarding, health and safety, equality and inclusion, stages of children’s development and healthy eating. Finally, areas around communication and behaviour and their importance to school are investigated giving the learner a broad introduction to the expectations of schools.

Successful completion of this course can lead to progression to further study or employment in Education and Teaching.

If you are 19 years old or over you may need to pay fees for your Further Education studies.

Course fees depend on your age and course level.

You may be exempt from paying fees though, or eligible to pay a reduced fee – known as fee remission.

This is representative of the most common fees scenario, but actual fees can vary depending on a number of factors. Please contact us if you need more guidance.
