Course overview

This qualification will prepare you for a role in manufacturing engineering, for example a manufacturing engineering technician or welding operative. You will gain relevant skills and knowledge in areas such as computer-aided design, modern manufacturing systems, additive manufacturing, machining and electronics.

This course is suitable if you are wanting to gain strong core knowledge of manufacturing engineering.

Achieving this qualification could lead to employment opportunities for you as a:

The course is run at the Trinity Green Campus.

Assessment

To achieve the Level 3 Advanced Technical Certificate in Engineering candidates must successfully complete both mandatory assessment components.

  • An external awarding body exam (one per year)
  • An external awarding body set assignment (one per year)
  • You must also undertake employer involvement activities.

Entry requirements

4 GCSEs at a minimum of Grade C/4 or above including English, Maths and Science.

Work experience

Your course may include work experience or a work placement that could lead to the offer of a part-time or casual work, or you might work outside of your studies.

Tuition fees

Safety Boots and a suitable overall will be required for the practical workshop sessions.  All other personal protective equipment (PPE) will be supplied.  Further details will be supplied during the induction process.

If you are aged 19+ and studying a Further Education Course at Bradford College, you may have to pay course fees.

The amount depends on the number of hours and which course is being taken.
