Course overview

Apprenticeships give you the opportunity to learn and train in your chosen career as well as earning a regular pay packet. You will be given first-hand experience and learn the majority of the skills needed on the job, whilst also completing off-the-job training.

This apprenticeship is designed for people with a passion for cars or an interest in mechanics. Apprentice fast fit technicians are responsible for repairing and replacing worn or damaged tyres, exhausts, batteries and parts. This apprenticeship is ideal for car enthusiasts looking to kick start their motor vehicle career.

What you'll study

Typical tasks:

  • Replacing tyres
  • Ensuring batteries, exhausts and wheels are fit for purpose
  • Inspecting and repairing clutches, exhausts and braking systems.

You will be required to study on a day release basis.

Assessment

Assessment will take place within the workplace

Entry requirements

GCSE English and Mathematics at a minimum of Grade C/4 or Entry 3 on the Literacy and Numeracy BKSB.

English and/or Mathematics will be included in your timetable if you have not achieved a GCSE at grade 4 or above in these subjects when you start your course.
