Childcare Levels 2 and 3 Apprenticeship
This qualification will enable you to understand how to prepare for a community interpreting role. The course builds on the Community Interpreting Level 1 course to develop the practice of interpreting. The qualification will enable you to:
• Develop language skills in preparation for training as a Community Interpreter • Develop an awareness of the ethical context and responsibilities involved in community interpreting • Develop listening and assertiveness skills in preparation for further community interpreting study and work • Develop public service awareness and knowledge • Develop volunteering experience in the community In addition, you will be required to obtain a placement as a bilingual volunteer with a relevant organisation. The expectation is that the placement should not be less than 20 hours.
The course is accredited through the completion of a portfolio of evidence and/or course assessment.
