Course overview

This course will introduce you to the role of a bookkeeper and simple bookkeeping techniques.

Learning outcomes:

  • Understand the role of the bookkeeper
  • Understand financial transactions
  • Process customer and supplier transactions
  • Process receipts and payments

What you'll study

Learn how to establish key-entry manual booking skills, and gain an understanding about the role of a bookkeeper.

Assessment

You will be assessed through a computer-based test on book-keeping and computer-based projects on spreadsheets.

Entry requirements

Although there are no formal entry requirements, you will need a good standard of English to be able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. You will have to complete a short assessment prior to enrolment in order to demonstrate that you have the Literacy and Numeracy skills needed to succeed.

Tuition fees

If you're 19 or older you may need to pay a fee.

All fees exclude exams, registration and administration charges. These fees apply to all learners, except those with full fee remission.
