Bradford College has always been a place to explore, experiment, and evolve for alumni Jude Gentry.
Starting out on the Art and Design course three years ago, alumni Jude discovered a world of creative possibilities that went far beyond traditional drawing and painting.
“We got to experiment in a lot of different environments and different media, which I found interesting because at first I thought it was just going to be your basic drawing or painting. But they’ve got amazing printing facilities and the fashion room, and they gave us pathways we could go down and do what we wanted to do, which was really inspiring.”
Today, Jude is studying Fashion at Level 5, a decision inspired by falling in love with the fashion studio and the opportunities Bradford College offers.
“I fell in love with the fashion studio and the fashion course here. There’s a lot of opportunities, and knowing the tutors already made it easier. It was something different, and I found it really interesting.”

For Jude, the best thing about Bradford College is simple:
“You get to have creative freedom in anything you want to do and explore limitless opportunities.” This freedom to experiment and choose your own path is what makes Bradford College stand out.
The Producing Academy: Opening Doors to New Possibilities
Jude attended the launch of the Producing Academy and sees it as a game-changer for future students:
“I think it’ll encourage people to discover Bradford College and delve deeper into creative courses. It offers a lot of opportunities to become creators, it’s going to be really interesting.”
The Producing Academy brings together disciplines like film, fashion, and media under one roof, creating a space for collaboration and innovation that reflects the real-world creative industry.
Alumni advice for Future Students
Jude’s advice for new Producing Academy students is all about stepping outside your comfort zone:
“Go out of your comfort zone and explore something you might not feel good at. Just go for it because you might find that you enjoy it or discover something you want to progress further in the future. That’s what I did.”

“It’s building itself up, becoming better and better. Upcoming is a good word for that.”
