Our £50 million campus, The David Hockney Building, named after famous Bradford College alumnus and internationally acclaimed artist David Hockney, has transformed the learner experience we provide using new styles of learning, which embrace cutting edge technologies and offer first-class resources to enrich the lives of young people and adults alike.
Outstanding support and quality education
We are proud of our strong reputation for supporting learners and providing quality education and training for over 185 years. Each year we deliver hundreds of courses to thousands of learners from across the globe. We are one of the largest colleges in the country, and one of the largest providers of Higher Education outside the university sector in England.
With a strong professional emphasis, our students benefit from more taught hours and tutor contact time than many universities. In most cases, group class sizes are smaller.
High student satisfaction rates
In recent Further Education surveys, 98% of students said they were enjoying their course, 96% of students said that they would recommend their course to a friend and 96% of students said they liked coming to College.
Satisfaction rates are mirrored in Higher Education, with the latest National Student Survey recording an average 4 per cent improvement in satisfaction from students on our degree-level courses.
We work hard to secure work experience opportunities and placements for our students by working with our in-house placement and recruitment service Bradford College Work Placements. Many of our students go on to enjoy successful careers in their chosen field after studying with us. In Higher Education 85.6% of our graduates were in employment or went on to further study within 6 months of completing their studies; and of those in employment, over 68% were in managerial or professional jobs (DLHE survey, 2015/16).
