Adding to this recognition, Dr Clarkson has been appointed Co-Chair of NATECLA, the national professional organisation for ESOL teachers. In this role, she will help support practitioners and advocate for learners.
Dr Clarkson will also contribute to national discussions on ESOL policy and provision.
Dr. Clarkson said,
“I’m passionate about supporting multilingual learners and ensuring teaching remains innovative, inclusive and informed by research. Seeing both my own work and one of our students’ experiences published has been incredibly rewarding. I’m also honoured to take on the role of Co-Chair of NATECLA and to contribute to its work as a national voice for ESOL learners, teachers and providers.”
These achievements reflect Dr Clarkson’s expertise and dedication to the ESOL sector. Her research, publications and national leadership role highlights the quality of teaching at Bradford College. It also shows the lasting impact staff have on learners.
Through research-informed teaching and active engagement with their professions, College staff help ensure students benefit from the latest developments and best practices within their fields.
