Hundreds of students enjoyed a day packed with entertainment, activities, opportunities and community connections as Bradford College welcomed new and returning learners to its Freshers’ Fair 2026.
The annual event transformed the College campus into a vibrant hub of activity, giving students their first taste of the rich enrichment opportunities available throughout the year while helping them build friendships, discover support services and connect with local organisations.
From testing their nerve on the rodeo bull and being entertained by a talented magician, to exploring enrichment tasters and signing up for clubs and societies, students embraced a wide range of experiences designed to help them make the most of college life.
The Freshers’ Fair also brought together a diverse range of local businesses, community organisations and College services, enabling students to access advice, discover volunteering and employment opportunities, and begin building valuable relationships both within the College and across the wider community.

From tackling the rodeo bull and being amazed by our magician, to exploring enrichment tasters and signing up for clubs, students embraced the fantastic range of entertainment, activities and opportunities on offer, giving them an exciting first glimpse of what’s ahead. By bringing together local businesses, community organisations and College services, students were able to discover opportunities, access support and begin building valuable connections.
The event was made possible through the hard work of our Personal Development & Enrichment team, whose work behind the scenes ensured a vibrant and engaging experience for students. Their commitment to delivering an exceptional student experience shone throughout the day. Freshers’ Fair also marked the launch of our annual enrichment programme, our most ambitious yet. Designed to help students develop skills, build confidence, enhance wellbeing and create lasting memories.

One of the highlights of the day was the support from local partners and businesses, which helped create a festival atmosphere across the campus. ICE Drinks served more than 5,000 mocktails to students throughout the event, while Wonder Crumble and Karachi Gol Gappa proved equally popular with attendees looking to enjoy a sweet or savoury treat between activities.
The event also marked the official launch of Bradford College’s annual enrichment programme. Featuring an expanded range of clubs, activities and development opportunities, the programme aims to help students gain new skills, boost confidence, improve wellbeing and create lasting memories alongside their studies.
