Bradford College Students Lead ‘College Takeover’ at Bradford Bulls vs Toulouse Olympique Match
On Sunday 1st March over 300 Bradford College students and staff headed to Odsal Stadium for a spectacular College Takeover during the Bradford Bulls’ clash with Toulouse Olympique.
The event celebrated the growing partnership between Bradford College and Bradford Bulls, offering learners a rare chance to immerse themselves in a major professional sporting environment. For many students, the occasion was especially memorable; some were watching a live rugby match for the very first time, giving them a new connection to one of Bradford’s most iconic teams.
Ian Stafford, Commercial Manager at Bradford Bulls, praised the enthusiasm shown by students throughout the day:
“It was fantastic to see so many Bradford College students involved across the stadium. Our partnership with the College continues to grow, and we’re excited to build even more opportunities for young people to gain meaningful, real-world experience with the club.”
Anita Ladva-Cheung, Head of Department for Student Recruitment and External Relations added:
“It was fantastic to see so many of our staff and students at the Bradford Bulls game yesterday, and especially inspiring knowing it was the first live rugby league match for many of them. Experiences like this go beyond the classroom; they build confidence, create memories and strengthen that sense of belonging. As a college rooted in our city, events like this showcase the power of our partnerships and the strength of our community.”
The collaboration is set to expand further, offering students new ways to gain industry insights, develop hands‑on skills, and take part in unique events with one of the city’s most iconic sports organisations.
Bradford College extends its thanks to Bradford Bulls for their ongoing support, and to all students and staff who helped make the takeover a memorable highlight of the season.
