Bradford College Student Ali Wins Prestigious YAYA Education Award

Bradford College is proud to celebrate the incredible achievement of 19-year-old student Mohammed Ali Adnan, who has been named winner of the Education Award at this year’s Yorkshire Asian Young Achievers (YAYA) Awards.

The YAYAs, established in 2020 by the QED Foundation to mark its 30th anniversary, have become one of Bradford’s most significant events, recognising the outstanding accomplishments of young people of South Asian heritage across Yorkshire. This year’s glittering ceremony took place on November 27 at Cedar Court Hotel, bringing together civic and business leaders to honour inspiring individuals.

Ali, who lives with Spina Bifida and uses a wheelchair, is an exceptional student at Bradford College currently studying Travel and Tourism. His determination and positive outlook have made him a role model for his peers. Beyond his academic success, Ali actively participates in college events and plays for the Bradford City Disability Football Team. Looking ahead, Ali hopes to pursue a university degree and a career in air traffic control.

Winning the Education Award is a testament to Ali’s resilience and ambition. His story embodies the spirit of the YAYAs, which celebrate those who overcome barriers to achieve success.

Congratulations, Ali! Your hard work and inspiring attitude make us proud!
