Let’s Get Digital!

With digital skills now more important than ever before, Bradford College is welcoming adults to sessions where they can develop their IT knowledge and confidence.

People aged-19 and over who are on benefits or low incomes can take part in free digital skills sessions at the IT Centre in City Park, Bradford.

With more employers needing people with solid IT skills and the government announcing a host of measures to boost digital literacy, now is the right time to get digital!

Duncan Burnett, Curriculum Area Manager for Community and Distance Learning at Bradford College, said: “Whether you’re a complete beginner or want to develop your digital literacy further, our courses can help you. If you are new to technology and want some help with getting set up on email, or want to know your way around Microsoft Office, these sessions give you the chance to develop basic IT skills in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.”

The courses offer entry-level Digital Employability Skills qualifications as well as ITQ Awards and certificates at levels 1 and 2.

Bradford College is also offering a Digital Pathway for people aged 50 and over to enable them to become more confident IT users.

The courses are free to those who are currently receiving Universal Credit or are on £17,005 or less a year. If you are being supported through JobCentre Plus you can ask your coach to refer you.
