Are you an aspiring female football hero aged between 16 and 18?
Bradford College and Bradford Park Avenue have joined forces to create a top-flight football academy combining full-time education with a football training and games programme from September this year.
Beverly Fox, Head of Professional and Leisure Services at Bradford College, said: “The academy is looking for talented young footballers to take part in a female-only scholarship programme for this academy.”
Trials for this programme are set to begin this April.
Women taking part in the academy will train with UEFA-licensed coaches, while also studying a level 2 or level 3 Sport, Fitness or Uniformed Public Service qualifications at Bradford College.
The academy will have connections to female college football teams in the USA, opening up exciting possibilities for gifted young footballers to potentially travel there in the future.
Already a successful trial event for male footballers has taken place, with another planned for later this year.
