Creative FE Facilities Get Impressive Renovations

Our Creative Arts facilities have undergone a striking transformation following the relocation of our Further Education (FE) courses from the Lister Building to the adjacent David Hockney Building.

After a £600k summer refurbishment, several IT teaching and staff rooms were redesigned into new and improved, creative learning environments, carefully modelled to meet both college and industry needs.

The large space now accommodates programmes such as FE Printmaking, Fashion, Art & Design, Special Effects, Media Make-Up, and Photography, with additional Mac suites and classrooms available for Maths and English.

New studio equipment features photography coves, table-top presses, dance mirrors and ballet bars, sewing machines and fashion mannequins, alongside a new exhibition system for student showcases. Learners also benefit from access to specialist IT equipment and bright, modern creative spaces designed to support collaboration and innovation.

Since the relocation of FE Music and Media students into the new T Level facilities within the David Hockney Building last academic year, this move now brings all the college’s Creative FE learners together under one roof, creating a flagship centre of vocational excellence for the city’s Level 2 and 3 creative programmes.

Bradford School of Art Higher Education courses will continue to be taught in the Lister building.
