Celebrating Creativity: Bradford School of Art Summer Show 2025
On Friday, June 20th, the Bradford School of Art proudly opened its doors for the highly anticipated Summer Show 2025. The annual event showcases an inspiring array of work from students across photography, art, and design courses offering a powerful testament to their creativity, technical skill, and dedication.
Visitors to the opening night were treated to a vibrant exhibition that transforms The Dye House gallery space into a celebration of emerging artistic talent. From intricate design pieces to evocative photographic series, the show highlights the incredible range and individuality of the students’ final projects.
The Dye House Gallery came alive with energy as students took to the catwalk, showcasing their unique designs and walking with undeniable style and confidence. The fashion show was a vibrant celebration of creativity, with each model bringing the garments to life through striking poses and smooth strides. From edgy streetwear to elegant outfits, the students impressed the audience with their flair and professionalism, making the runway a true highlight of the college’s creative calendar.
Among the exhibiting artists is Alex Guest, a Level 3 Photography student, who spoke about their experience on the course: “What I like most about the course is just getting to do photography in general, it’s been a really solid starting me. Seeing my work up on display feels great. It’s a proud moment, a real achievement. Looking back at the year, I feel good about what I’ve produced. I’ve come out with a series of images I really like, and that’s the main thing.”
Mackenzie Collier, also studying Level 3 Photography, echoed that pride while highlighting the School’s outstanding facilities: “What I love most about the course is the teachers. They’re really friendly and easy to get along with. But also, the resources are amazing. We’ve got a full studio setup, loads of cameras, tripods, lenses, tethering setups, and even a big screen for live viewing. Everything I could possibly need was there, and that made such a difference to my learning. Seeing my final work up on display is really cool. I was a bit nervous about the printing process, but it looks great, and I’m proud of it.”
For Sklar Binns, a Level 3 Art and Design student, the course has been as much about personal growth as artistic development: “What I like most about the course is being able to explore different avenues, there’s a lot of freedom to follow what you’re interested in. The support here has been amazing. Even with personal or family situations, the tutors are there for you through everything. I couldn’t ask for better support. When I see my final piece, I feel proud of the outcome. It’s about what you’ve achieved and where that takes you.”
While the opening night was a huge success, there’s still time to experience the talent on display. The Summer Show remains open to the public until Thursday, 3rd July, and all are welcome to visit and support the next generation of artists and creatives.
Whether you’re a fellow student, a prospective applicant, or simply someone who appreciates great art, this is a must-see exhibition. Don’t miss your chance to witness the future of creative industries in Bradford.
The Dye House Gallery showcasing the students’ work is open until Thursday 3rd July, giving everyone a chance to explore and appreciate the talent behind the designs.
