September 2018

The UCAS application process opens for 2018 applicants.

October - December 2018

You should have started your UCAS application and be thinking about your five choices. You should also be working on your personal statement; make sure you have help and guidance with this and get it checked by a tutor or careers advisor.

January 2019

The UCAS application deadline for the majority of undergraduate courses. You should submit your application and ensure you are 100% happy with your personal statement and choices.

February 2019

UCAS Extra opens. If you’ve used all five choices and you’re not holding any offers, you might be able to add another choice. Bear in mind, you can only add one extra option at a time.

We will be inviting our applicants in to an Applicant Visit Day between February and April - this will give you an idea of what it’s like to study at our University Centre.

March - April 2019

There's still chance to apply through UCAS Extra. You can still submit a UCAS application if you didn’t meet the 15 January deadline, though bear in mind that applications submitted by the January deadline will be considered first.

May 2019

Colleges and universities should reply to applications made by the 15 January deadline, if they do not respond UCAS will decline the application on their behalf. Still a chance to apply in Extra for those who are eligible.

June 2019

If you have made an application after the 15 January deadline (not UCAS Extra) it will be forwarded onto your chosen colleges/universities. Any applications received after this point will be entered into Clearing. Still chance to apply in Extra for those who are eligible.

July 2019

Last chance to apply in Extra for those who are eligible. Clearing vacancies will appear in the search tool on UCAS - the full list will be published on A Level results day.

August 2019

A Level results day. Full clearing vacancy information available. If you don’t get the grades you required, you don’t have any offers or you’ve changed your mind about your choices, then Clearing is your best option. It’s your last opportunity to get a place on a course.

September 2019

Clearing vacancies will be removed from the UCAS search tool.

October 2019

Last chance to add Clearing choices and for universities and colleges to make their decisions.
